As children my siblings and I were taught that being humble meant you thought you were not as good as everyone else, hated yourself and had low self-esteem. We were taught all this is a virtue. I grew up to hate the word until I redefined it. Humble is realizing everyone is equal. No one is better than anyone else. We all have our strengths, talents and abilities which vary from person to person. Being humble means being loving to me these days.My current definition is truly a virtue.
